Predicting the NFL Draft Using Combine Results

Bill Lotter at the Harvard Sports Analysis Collective uses combine data to try to predict where players will get drafted. He has previously built models to predict where a player will be drafted and how well they will do in the NFL using combine data alone. He goes position by position and orders players by a) where Combine data says they’ll be drafted and b) what the Combine data predicts about NFL success. Unfortunately, there are some players not listed because they didn’t participate in the combine or didn’t participate in enough of the drills to make a meaningful prediction.
