So deflation doesn’t seem to impact fumbling after all
On his blog, Michael Lopez looks to end the argument of the impact of deflation on fumbling once and for all. He factors in the impacts that:
- Teams are less likely to fumble on QB kneel downs
- Teams are less likely to fumble when they have the lead
- Yard line matters
Once he does that, he finds that it is really difficult to distinguish between the fumble rates of NFL teams.
